Roasted fresh weekly in Oman
Vibrant, sweet, and beautifully structured - Kenya Inoi Kianderi AA by SpiritHub Roastery comes from the highlands of Kirinyaga, Central Kenya. Produced by smallholder farmers from the Inoi Farmers’ Cooperative Society and processed at Kianderi Washing Station, this washed AA lot delivers expressive notes of orange, lychee, brown sugar, and florals with remarkable clarity and sweetness.
Inoi Kianderi comes from Kirinyaga, one of Kenya's renowned specialty coffee-growing regions. The high elevations and fertile growing conditions help produce coffees celebrated for their clarity, sweetness, fruit character, and elegant structure.
Smallholder farmers belonging to the Inoi Farmers’ Cooperative Society carefully hand-pick ripe coffee cherries and deliver them to Kianderi Washing Station, where cherries from the surrounding farming community are carefully sorted and processed.
After delivery to Kianderi, the ripe cherries are carefully sorted before being pulped. The coffee then undergoes dry fermentation, followed by thorough washing and soaking.
The parchment coffee is slowly dried on raised African beds and regularly turned to promote even drying. This careful washed process contributes to the clarity, structure, and expressive fruit character associated with exceptional Kenyan coffees.
After drying and milling, Kenyan coffees are graded according to physical characteristics including bean size. This lot carries the distinctive AA grade, representing a larger screen-size selection within Kenya's coffee grading system.
Combined with careful processing at Kianderi, the result is an expressive coffee with excellent clarity, sweetness, floral character, and layers of vibrant fruit.
Behind Kianderi is a community of small-scale coffee producers. Through the Inoi Farmers’ Cooperative Society, farmers collectively process and market their coffee while maintaining traceability through the Kenyan coffee system.
At SpiritHub Roastery, we selected this lot for its combination of origin character, careful processing, natural sweetness, and expressive fruit profile. Roasted in Oman to highlight its clarity and complexity, it is especially suited to filter and pour-over brewing.
