🌍 Origin & Terroir

Karimikui Factory is located in one of Kenya’s most respected coffee-growing regions. Fertile volcanic soils, cool mountain temperatures, and abundant rainfall allow cherries to mature slowly, building dense sugars, vibrant acidity, and layered fruit complexity.

This carefully selected lot combines the renowned SL28 and SL34 varieties, celebrated for their juicy fruit character, with Ruiru 11, which adds structure, balance, and consistency to the cup.

⚗️ Fully Washed Processing

Only perfectly ripe cherries are selectively handpicked before undergoing Kenya’s traditional fully washed process. After depulping, clean-water fermentation carefully removes the remaining fruit, allowing the coffee’s natural terroir, clarity, and bright acidity to shine.

The beans are then washed and slowly dried to preserve sweetness, aromatic complexity, and a clean, elegant finish.
